Remember the Anniversary of the Loss

After the death of a child or loved one, holidays and birthdays are very difficult.  For the family left behind, the most difficult days are those surrounding the anniversary on which their loved one past away.  A phone call, a card, or even a visit, on or around this day, will mean more than any other time of the year.

Many times, after the death of a loved one, friends will say, "we'll stay in touch", or "you won't be alone".  This lasts for an average of 2 weeks until life gets back to normal.  The person that was told, "they would never be alone", is most alone on the anniversary of their loss.
